  today i had some of my worst experiences.

  i saw a jw group walking on preaching.

  one of them knows me well, we share a lot of week-end on rbc.. my first reaction was rage and nerves.

  spend the week with a congregation the week before an assembly.

  didn't show up because he was "sick" so the c.o.

  having a rant to myself this morning and this phrase my old dad used to say came to mind:.

  "self praise is no recommendation".. and i thought that self praise is exactly what jehovah's witnesses hear regularly.. we all remember hearing how loving, kind, godlike etc we were, as jehovah's witnesses.. yet all of that is self praise.

  being on the outside now, gives us the freedom to consult what other sources say, and we now.

  My dear old mam used to say "Don't SAY I love you, DO I love you"....actions really do speak louder than words. I felt mainly fear in the KH.

  Why do I bother to wake up in the morning?

  i'm not suicidal just fed up.. i did think of suicide (briefly), but as there is no painless way and it's not something i would willingly do just in case things would have been better the day after.

  i do have a slight grain of hope.. money problems.....problems at home (that's another matter with a son up court for something he is adamant he didn't do.

  first offence but the pigs police and the cps have got charges made.

  I'm so sorry you feel like this. I myself am going through something similar, just can't seem to shake it off. I have decided to make a bucket list now.....ok, I have only got as far as writing "Bucket list" on top of paper and underlining it, but hey it's a start! Maybe you and M could sit down together and make a short achievable list, just 4 or 5 things to do say, before Xmas? Now that the weather is improving I think getting out helps too. You like QI....read Stephen Fry's incredibly moving account of how he battles with depressive thoughts. (name of book escapes me sorry)..I think you could find it helpful. Sending you best wishes from Wales.

  Studied with JW grandma for 3 years and went to meetings, I have now seen the light!

  im new here and im 17, going to turn 18 in 1 week.

  i studied with my gradma the bible teach book and went to meeting with her and other relatives (considering most my relatives are jw except my parents) and i believe in all of it because i never read the bible for myself.

  after reading the gospels i started noticing contradictions in the jw doctrine like when jesus said many would dine with the patriachs in the kingdom of heaven (yet only 144,000 jws can) which would seem odd considering the fact he adressed this to more then the apostles.
